I was tasked with coming up with a quick, easy to assemble, and elegant chopsticks setting for a special one-time collaborative meal prepared by Chefs Noriyuki Hamada and Philippe Mille at Les Crayères in Reims, France. I came up with chopstick rests inspired by o-mikuji, Japanese folded paper fortunes. The chopsticks were crafted by Kyoto bamboo craft studio Kohchosai Kosuga, and presented as gifts to the guests, for which I designed a matching box that commemorates the event.
